To enable modem mode on your Hub 3.0

  1. Make sure you are connected (wired or wirelessly) to your Hub 3.0
  2. Make sure nothing else is plugged into the Virgin Router, other than your laptop and the white Virgin Cable
  3. Open your Internet browser
  4. Log in to your Super Hub’s settings page by entering 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your Internet browser
  5. Enter your Hub 3.0 settings password. The default password is printed on the bottom of the Hub 3.0. If you have changed the default password, enter that password instead
  6. Once you’ve logged in, click Modem Mode on the left
  7. Click the option next to Enable Modem Mode and then click Apply changes
  8. Plug ethernet cable into yellow LAN socket on Virgin Router and the other end into WAN socket on the Draytek Router.

Note: Once in Modem Mode, the IP address you use to access your Super Hub changes from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.100.1.

How to put the Hub 3.0 back into Router mode

There are two ways to get your Super Hub back into Hub mode:

  1. Connect ethernet cable into yellow LAN socket on Virgin Router and the other end into your laptop
  2. Open a web browser and enter 192.168.100.1 into the address bar
  3. Enter your Hub 3.0 settings password. The default password is printed on the bottom of the Hub 3.0. If you have changed the default password, enter that password instead
  4. Once you’ve logged in, click Modem Mode on the left
  5. Click the option next to Disable Modem Mode and then click Apply changes
  6. The Hub will reboot and return to router mode

Pin hole reset

You can reset the Hub 3.0 to factory settings which will restart the Hub 3.0 into router mode.
