It means that as part of our managed service we provide 24 / 7 / 365 monitoring of all equipment that is capable of being monitored on a customer network. We monitor the
- Servers / Network Attached Storage devices.
- Internet connections
- Hardware and software.
- other misc Networking components.
So what does that mean to our customers?
Here are a few examples of work we have carried out recently for our Managed Service Customers.
It means, for example, that if we had a warning from our monitoring software that a customers server disk was starting to fail (Details available on request). We would be able to replace that disk with no downtime to the business. If that disk fails, that server would be offline for maybe 2 days whilst it was rebuilt.
It means for example we had a warning that a PC with Sage accounts on it (small business) that an attempt to encrypt the PC with Cryptolocker
(see here for details CRYPTOLOCKER)
but as we had protected the PC (For as little as £3.50 per month) the attack was unsuccessful.
It means for example that a client had a laptop stolen with all his company information on it, but as it was encrypted by us and as we had a full backup of the data, it wasnt an issue, he simply bought a new laptop and we restored the data to it.
